The Prewrath Rapture: Answering the Critics
When is the rapture in relation to end-time events? Few topics in the church create more debate. Scripture speaks of a seven-year period of restoration and divine judgment, yet Christians are divided: pre-trib, mid-trib, post-trib, preterism, or no rapture at all, among others.
This book shows how clearly the Bible answers this question when Scripture is allowed to interpret Scripture. You’ll discover:
- The timing of the rapture and its connection to Christ’s second coming
- The key weaknesses in the other major rapture theories
- What happens to believers after the rapture
- The identity of the saints persecuted by the Antichrist
- Why this topic matters deeply for every Christian
- How critics challenge the pre-wrath view — and how those challenges hold up (* Hint: they don’t)
In the end, the rapture is not about an event but about a Person: Jesus Christ, the One we are called to watch for.
The Rapture and Second Coming of Christ: God’s SIMPLE Truth
Few doctrines are more misunderstood than the rapture and the second coming of Christ. Christians hold many views—pre-tribulation, mid-trib, post-trib, preterist, and even some who reject the rapture entirely.
This book explains what the rapture is and how it fits with the second coming of Christ. Using Scripture alone, Chris carefully lays out this doctrine in a clear, straightforward way, showing how simple the basic framework truly is.
Why does this matter? Because understanding God’s plan for the end times profoundly shapes our mindset, our expectations, and our walk with Christ.
The Prewrath Rapture (the companion book) provides a detailed, argument-driven study that answers objections and examines every major view.
The Rapture and Second Coming, in contrast, offers a simplified yet thorough explanation for readers who want the truth presented clearly and concisely.
Practical Guide to Bible Study: God’s SIMPLE Truth
The purpose of Bible study is not just to gain knowledge—it is to make Scripture practical in everyday life. How we live, worship, and grow in our relationship with Jesus Christ is shaped by how well we understand His Word.
Jesus compared the Word of the Kingdom to seed (Matthew 13)—a seed that brings life and fruit. This book teaches you how to identify that life-giving seed in Scripture and what to do with it once you find it. You’ll learn the basic principles of Bible study, along with helpful tips and recommended resources to make your study time more effective.
Whether you’re new to studying the Bible or have years of experience, this guide offers something valuable for every believer.
May God richly bless your studies.

Really enjoyed the book! The sub-title is, “Answering the Critics”, and the author succeeds in doing just that. He does an excellent job of countering objections of well-known critics of the prewrath view without being offensive or dismissive of their views. Perdue often references key Greek terms, but always in a context that’s clear and understandable. I believe this book is a “must” for your library – it will help strengthen your spiritual foundation and will serve as a handy reference guide for questions that may come up in the future. Most importantly, the book stresses the fact that it’s all about Jesus – not the opinions and systems of man.

I never gave the Prewrath view much thought being firmly in the Pretrib camp. Chris gives a great explanation of the Prewrath view and a lot of scriptural support. After going through his book and the bible I found it difficult to defend my previous position. I am not easily swayed, but studying prophecy in light of this position allows many difficult passages to fall neatly into place. For a few bucks why not challenge your view on the rapture. If you not convinced at least you will be well educated about a competing position.
